Four Moroccan stowaways were found safe and well aboard the ocean-going tanker the Cheshire early this morning.
They were reported missing by the Cheshire's shipping agent shortly before the vessel docked in Cork harbour last night.
This led to a sea and land search of the area.
The four men, all said to be aged in their early 20s, have applied for asylum, say Cobh gardaí.
