Four people, including two firefighters, remain in a critical condition in hospital following an explosion in a tyre-recycling factory in Co Louth yesterday.
They are being treated in the burns unit of St James Hospital in Dublin. Seven people were injured in the blast at the Crumb Rubber plant in Dromiskin around 9.30am.
The other three injured are being treated at our Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda and are described as being in a stable condition.
The explosion is being investigated by the Health and Safety Authority and said it will draw up a report.
