Nathan Green, Brendan Jones, Terry Price and Nick O'Hern lead on 22 points.

With a birdie worth two points and an eagle five in the modified stableford tournament, a number of players are well placed to take advantage tomorrow. There are 19 players within four points of the lead.

Green fired a six-under-par 66 on the oceanside course; Jones, back in Australia after finishing eighth on the Japanese Tour last year, shot a 67.

Craig Parry is sitting one point back in a share of fifth, while Stuart Appleby is in 17th place on 18 points.

Ireland's Peter Lawrie shot three birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey for a two-over-par 74. The Dubliner remains on an eight-point total.
