Leading Wales internationals Neil Jenkins, Rob Howley, Scott Gibbs and David Young are set to retire at the end of the season, according to team-mate Colin Charvis.

In a column on the BBC Onlinewebsite, flanker Charvis said the quartet had told their Welsh collegues about their intentions.

"They are adamant this is the end of the line and their international careers and it will be a big loss if they leave," Charvis said.

Scrumhalf Howley told the BBChe planned to carry on next season, however, while flyhalf Jenkins, who passed 1,000 points for Wales in the 43-35 Six Nations championship victory over France on Saturday, was noncommital.

"I will be around next season," Howley said. "You are a long time retired and weekends like the one we have had do not happen often."

Jenkins said he had not yet made up his mind. "There's a bit more left in me but we will have to wait and see," he said.
