England striker Robbie Fowler completed his move to Leeds United from Liverpool this evening after passing a medical.
The Elland Road club have called a news conference at 1200 GMT tomorrow when they will present Fowler to the media, a Leeds spokesman told Reuters.
No financial details of the deal were revealed, but media reports said Leeds paid around stg£11 million for the 26-year-old.
Fowler, who could make his debut in Leeds's premier league match at Fulham on Sunday, has signed a five-year contract.
After 15 years at Anfield, Fowler decided to leave his home town club after becoming frustrated at his lack of first-team opportunities.
Liverpool opted to cash in on the striker, a huge crowd favourite at Anfield, rather than risk losing him for nothing under the Bosman ruling when his contract expires in 18 months' time.
British bookmakers William Hill have slashed the odds on Fowler finishing as the premier league's top scorer this season from 80/1 to 33/1 following his transfer.
Arsenal striker Thierry Henry, who leads the way with 12 goals, is 6/4 favourite. Fowler has scored three league goals so far this season.
