Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler hopes he has not played his final game in front the Kop.
The 31-year-old was touched by the reception he received from the Anfield crowd after Liverpool's final home game of the season against Aston Villa on Saturday.
Fowler, however, is coming to the end of a short-term contract at the club and is unsure whether he will be offered a new deal.
The former England striker said: "It was a touching moment for me when the fans were chanting my name at the end of the game, but I hope they don't think it was a send-off for me.
"I haven't heard anything about a new contract but I'm still hoping that Saturday won't be my last game at Anfield for Liverpool.
"I really do feel I have plenty left. Even I have been slightly surprised with the way I have got stronger and stronger this season.
"I know my body, I'll be the first to recognise when I'm not up to it. But to be honest I feel great and I really don't want Saturday to be my last game at Anfield."
Fowler rejoined Liverpool on a six-month deal four years after leaving in January and is hoping to convince boss Rafael Benitez he is worth a new contract.
