Coca-Cola Championship strugglers Leicester sent below-par Charlton tumbling out of the FA Cup with a 2-1 fifth-round victory at The Valley.

The Foxes took the lead in the first half but were pegged back, and missed a number of chances to win the game until Dion Dublin's flicked header proved the difference late in the day.

Alan Curbishley's side had offered little for much of the half when veteran defender Nikos Dabizas headed the east midlands side in front.

But Dabizas could have done better to prevent Charlton's equaliser, Shaun Bartlett quickest to react to Paul Konchesky's centre.

Leicester continued to push forward in the second half but could not find a way past Dean Kiely until Dublin guided Gareth Williams' corner home with barely a minute remaining.

League Two minnows Brentford secured a replay against Southampton after out-playing their Barclays Premiership hosts at St Mary's.

The Bees went two goals behind early on but battled back and had chances to win the game, but will settle for a replay at Griffin Park on March 1.

Henry Camara edged Saints in front just four minutes in and the plucky visitors had the wind taken from their sails with a farcical second goal for Southampton.

Bees goalkeeper Stuart Nelson went to kick the ball upfield but hit Kevin Phillips' head and his shot was saved by Nelson. But Camara was in the right place at the right time to shoot into an empty net.

However, Martin Allen's side grabbed a lifeline when Sam Sodje confidently took the ball out of defence and fed former Arsenal striker Isaiah Rankin, who blasted home five minutes from the break.

The impressive Sodje then headed the Londoners' equaliser from close range, exposing Southampton's rickety defence.

More chances came and went, Southampton enjoying a late push - with Phillips having a goal disallowed in added time - but Harry Redknapp's side must travel to the capital.

Bolton overcame Premiership rivals Fulham to secure a place in the quarter-finals.

Henrik Pedersen crafted an opening and set up Kevin Davies for his eighth goal of the season after 12 minutes and for all Fulham's huff and puff, they could not find a leveller.
