French forward Ibrahim Ba completed his move to Bolton Wanderers today when his international clearance came through, the English premier league club said.
The 29-year-old former France international was a free agent and has been training with Bolton since July after being released by Italian club AC Milan.
He has signed a short-term contract, Bolton said. "He's a fantastic acquisition to this football club. He's proved himself in top-flight European football over the last seven or eight years and we are confident we can get the best out of him," Bolton manager Sam Allardyce told the club's official website.
Ba, who began his career at Le Havre and joined Milan from Girondins Bordeaux in 1997, joins compatriots Youri Djorkaeff, Bruno Ngotty and Florent Laville at Bolton. He is now expected to be in the Bolton squad for their premier league match at home to Middlesbrough on Saturday.
