Tonight at the Hotel Concorde Lafayette in Paris, eight young Irishwomen, or women of Irish extraction living in France, will compete become the French entrant in this year's Rose of Tralee contest, Andy Pollak report from Paris.
They will include Ms Magali Brilhault, born in Iran to a French father and an Irish mother Ms Farab Abushwesha, who has an Irish mother and a Libyan father and Ms Sophie Eibrand, born in France of Swedish parents, who was brought up largely in Co Mayo.
