Srinagar - Indian troops clashed with Islamic guerrillas in Kashmir yesterday as police reported another massacre of Hindu villagers by suspected Muslim militants.
Indian army officials said the guerrillas had failed to complete their withdrawal back over the Line of Control (LoC) dividing Indian and Pakistan-controlled Kashmir. There were no reports of casualties. Last Saturday was India's deadline for the guerrillas to pull back across the LoC.
Meanwhile, police in Jammu said suspected Muslim separatists massacred 15 people in a Hindu village on Monday.
