Mission: To alleviate loneliness and isolation among older people by providing friendship, social contact and opportunities to participate in community activities.
Funding: About 70 per cent comes from Ritzy Rags, the FoE shop on Bolton Street, which is staffed by volunteers. The rest comes from fundraising, undertaken by FoE volunteers. The organisation receives no State funding.
