Fulham and Birmingham have denied reports of a row between Rufus Brevett and Republic of Ireland striker Clinton Morrison following yesterday's ill-tempered encounter at Loftus Road.
Birmingham won the match 1-0 to leapfrog the Londoners into 13th place in the Premiership.
Fulham defender Brevett and Morrison confronted each other on the pitch. A linesman then escorted Brevett off at full-time to prevent him having another tussle with the Birmingham forward.
But according to press reports, the pair continued their argument in the players' lounge afterwards.
A Fulham spokeswoman said today: "There was no incident between Brevett and Morrison - end of story. We have nothing else to report."
Birmingham said: "It was a storm in a teacup and we agree with Fulham's view.
Fulham assistant manager Christian Damiano admitted yesterday that Brevett had lost his composure during the match.
He said: "It's frustrating when the game keeps stopping. Sometimes it's difficult to keep your focus - and it was like that for Rufus."
Referee Andy D'Urso sent off Birmingham centre-back Darren Purse and booked nine other players - six yellow cards going to the Blues and three to Fulham.
