Hundreds of people have attended the funerals of two motorcyclists killed in a road race on Sunday, writes Paul Tanney. Mr Gary Dynes (33), a father of two from Magheralin, Co Down, and Mr Andy McClean (23), from Coleraine, Co Derry, died after a crash at the Glaslough Road races in Co Monaghan.

Among the mourners at Mr Dynes's funeral in Magheralin parish church was Mr Robert Dunlop, whose brother, Joey, was killed in a road race six weeks ago. Mr Dynes's funeral cortege was led by his wife, Vivien, and son, Mark. During the funeral, the Rev Christoper Easton described Mr Dynes as someone who had been at the top of his career.

A lone motorcyclist led the cortege for Mr McClean whose service was held at St Andrew's parish church in Ballysally, Coleraine. Mr Dynes and Mr McClean were among five riders in a pile-up during the opening lap of the 250cc race at Glaslough.
