A Galway man who was charged with the murder of his uncle in Inverin last year was further remanded in custody when he appeared before Galway District Court yesterday.

Mr Patrick McGreene (28), with addresses at Corrib Park and St Mary's Road, Galway, is charged with the murder of Mr Tom Clisham at Inverin between November 24th and December 4th last year. He is further charged with intentionally and recklessly causing harm to Mr Clisham between those dates. The court heard that the book of evidence, which was due to be served on the accused at yesterday's court, was not yet ready. Judge John Garavan then remanded Mr McGreene in custody to appear before the Bridewell District Court, Dublin, on April 29th, where the book of evidence would be served.
