STATE solicitor, Ms Clare Galligan, said it would take a further two months to prepare a book of evidence in the case of Mrs Catherine Nevin, who is accused of murdering her husband over a year ago.

Mrs Nevin (46) appeared in Dublin District Court charged with murdering her husband at their home in Jack White's Inn, Ballynapark, Arklow, Co Wicklow, on March 19th last year. She is also accused of soliciting three different men, named as John Jones, William McClane and Gerry Heapes, to murder during 1989 and 1990.

The president of the District Court, Judge Peter Smithwick, remanded Mrs Nevin on continuing bail to appear in court again on May 26th.
