The GAA has been granted planning permission to build a four-star hotel near Croke Park.
The GAA applied for permission to build the 225-room hotel on a site at Collier's Kitchen, off Jones's Road, in May.
The association will have to make a separate application for a proposed footbridge between the hotel and Croke Park and will not be allowed build a nightclub in the hotel.
Local residents, who were told of the decision yesterday, have four weeks to lodge an appeal to An Bord Pleanála.
