The pitches in Na Forbacha, which is between Bearna and An Spidéal, are used for football, soccer and hurling.

Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Minister Éamon Ó Cuív said it would address the needs of the growing population of young people in the area, which is less than seven kilometres from Galway city.
