Cycling: Stephen Gallagher of the An Post team has been crowned champion of the 2008 FBD Insurance Rás.
Having reclaimed the yellow jersey yesterday, the Co Armagh man finished safely in the main bunch in today's final stage from Newbridge to Skerries to win by a margin of over a minute.
Roger Aiken and Rob Partridge were Gallagher's closest challengers but neither rider was able to make any real inroads on the last day.
David O'Loughlin (Pezula Racing) topped the podium on a breezy final stage in north Co Dublin, holding off Britain's Evan Oliphant and Blazej Janiaczyk of Poland in a tight finish.
