GAA:Galway and Cork will meet in Limerick on Saturday in Phase III of the hurling qualifiers after the times and venues were announced this afternoon. Galway, convincing winners over Clare at the weekend, were drawn against Cork in the standout tie of the round last night.
The match has been scheduled for the Gaelic Grounds at 4pm, forming the first part of a double-header which will also see Limerick take on Offaly in the football qualifiers. Cork have blown hot and cold this season, bowing out in Munster at the hands of Tipperary before hammering Laois out of sight in Phase I of the qualifiers.
They were then put to the pin of their collars by Offaly, prevailing by just a single point, and will need to improve if they are to hold their own against a Galway side with plenty to prove. The only other tie in Phase II will see Parnell Park play host to Antrim and Limerick, again on Saturday, with throw in at 7pm.
