GAA:Galway's James Skehill has emerged as a doubt for the All-Ireland hurling final replay against Kilkenny at Croke Park on Sunday. The goalkeeper injured his shoulder in training this evening and was immediately taken for a scan, with a dislocation a possibility.
With the replay under 48 hours away, there is huge concern amongst the Tribesman as to whether the Cappataggle man will make the game, having played a massive role in ensuring the match went to a replay in the first place.
Skehill’s stunning save from Colin Fennelly was one of the highlights of the first game, but it now looks like neither will be involved on Sunday after the Kilkenny man was replaced by Cillian Buckley in the Cats team this evening.
Brian Cody has made two changes to his side with Walter Walsh named at full forward and Aidan Fogarty making way.
If ruled out, Skehill will be replaced by reserve ‘keeper Fergal Flannery in an otherwise unchanged Galway team.
