Gardai investigating the murder of a man in south Co Dublin last week have appealed for assistance from the public. The badly beaten body of Mr Felix McCann (48) was discovered in a disused shed in the Stepaside area. Gardai want to hear from anyone who may have passed the junction of Sandyford Road/Kilgobbin Road/ Leopardstown Road and Hillcrest between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. last Friday.

They are particularly anxious to speak to a motorist, possibly travelling from the Kilgobbin Road direction, who may have had to take evasive action to avoid one or two pedestrians on the road at 1.30 a.m.
