Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a single vehicle collision which occurred in Nenagh Co Tipperary on Monday.
At approximately 11.40pm an 18-year-old man was seriously injured when the car he was driving collided with a ditch at Islandbawn, Nenagh (on the R445).
He was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead yesterday.
The scene was examined by forensic collision investigators and inquiries are ongoing.

Ronanstown appeal
Meanwhile, gardaí at Ronanstown investigating a two vehicle fatal crash on the M50 northbound at Junction 7 (N4 Exit) at 10.30pm on Sunday January 27th are making a fresh appeal for witnesses.
An 80-year-old woman, the driver and only occupant of a car, was fatally injured in the crash.
The woman, from Riverforest in Leixlip, Co Kildare, was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown, but was pronounced dead a short time later. The male driver of a van was also injured but not seriously.
