Gardai sub-aqua unit divers tonight retrieved the body of a 20-year-old man from the River Slaney in Co Wexford.
Gardaí are investigating the incident and have interviewed a number of people connection with the incident in which the young man fell into the River Slaney in the early hours of yesterday morning.
They believe the man either fell or was pushed into the river following an altercation with a group of youths in Enniscorthy shortly after 12.30 a.m.
The missing man is understood to be from Ballymurn outside the town.
