A Dublin Garda station under renovation is allowing local youths to spray graffiti around its construction site.
A dozen children selected from community policing schemes will be able to display their artwork on the hoardings at one side of Kevin Street Garda Station.
Students from the National College of Art and Design will also lend a hand to help the youths express themselves.
"Gardaí from Kevin Street Garda Station have been working with local youths to provide them with facilities to allow them to legally display their graffiti art," said a Garda spokesman.
"While the new Kevin Street Garda station is under construction, gardaí and the Office of Public Works have allowed the hoarding around the new station, on Bride Street, to be used by the youths to display their art."
The 12 children come from three projects: Youth Intervention Services (YIS) Meath Street, the Dan Project in Donore Avenue/St Teresa's Gardens and the Reach Project in Ballyfermot.
The graffiti will be carried out over seven days between tomorrow and October 30th.
