A senior Garda officer yesterday reached a settlement with Cork Examiner Publications Ltd in a defamation action over an article in the Evening Echo on June 28th, 1996.
The terms of the settlement between Chief Supt Dermot Dwyer and Cork Examiner Publications were not disclosed at Cork Circuit Court.
