A north Dublin-based Garda has been suspended as a result of an investigation into child pornography, it emerged tonight.
The garda - in his 40s - is set to appear in court in March charged under the Child Trafficking and Pornography Act.
He was ordered to appear in court by the Director of Public Prosecutions after an investigation by the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
