Yesterday's operations brought in drugs with a Garda-estimated street value of over €1 million has been seized in swoops in counties Westmeath, Monaghan, Wicklow and Dublin since Friday.

In the capital, three men and a woman are being detained at Kevin Street and Kilmainham Garda stations following the seizure of €500,000-worth of cocaine; along with firearms, ammunition and drug-making equipment in Drimnagh on Friday night.

Also on Friday, gardai in Athlone recovered six kilos of base amphetamine worth €270,000.

In Co Wicklow yesterday, a man in his 30s is still being questioned at Bray Garda Station in connection with the seizure of heroin, estimated to be worth €100,000 euro in Greystones.
