Gardaí investigating the murder of Lee McCarthy in Cork city two weeks ago have appealed for a taxi driver to contact them.
Detectives are keen to speak to the driver who collected three men on the Lower Glanmire Road at St Patrick’s Church at approximately 4am on Saturday April 17th.
The men were brought to the vicinity of St Rita’s Avenue.
Gardaí discovered the body of Lee McCarthy (25) at a house on St Rita's Avenue in Gurranabraher at around 6.40am after receiving a call from a householder in the area.
The body was found with multiple stab wounds in a shed at the back of the house.
Mr McCarthy who had been living in Cork for the past four years and whose mother and brother live in Kinsale was originally from London.
