Gardaí in Nenagh, Co Tipperary, have issued an appeal in relation to a local woman who has been missing for three days.
Mary Ray (37), a mother of two, St Joseph's Park, Nenagh, was last seen at 5am on Sunday outside the post office at Ashe Road in the town.
Insp John Lynagh of Nenagh Garda station said Ms Ray was seen at the time walking in the direction of the Limerick Road.
He said she may have been thumbing a lift at that stage. He said her family became very concerned yesterday when she failed to turn up for an appointment she had arranged.
"Mary is quite vulnerable and if she met the wrong individual she could be taken advantage of," said Insp Lynagh.
Ms Ray is described as having fair hair and a heavy build. She has thick round lens glasses and is believed to have been wearing a black top and jeans when last seen.
