Gardai investigating the abandonment of a six-month-old baby boy in a Dublin city centre fast-food restaurant have located his mother.
A Garda spokeswoman said they were following a definite line of inquiry, adding that the social services were in the process of reuniting the mother and child.
In the meantime, the child continues to be cared for at Temple Street Children's Hospital, where he was taken after being found in a buggy by security staff at Burger King on O'Connell Street on Monday night.
