A man arrested in connection with the murder of a Chinese kitchen porter in Dublin was released without charge.
The man, in his 20s, was picked up in the city at 10.30am and taken to Kilmainham Garda station.
He was being questioned about the stabbing of the 23-year old man in Rialto last Wednesday.
A Garda spokeswoman said the man was released without charge.
The victim was stabbed in the chest when he confronted a burglar who had broken into his house in Reuben Avenue at about 5am.
He was taken to St James's Hospital but died about half an hour later.
The man had been in the country for two and a half years and worked as a kitchen porter in St Stephen's Green.
He was sharing the two-storey terraced house house with five other Chinese. He was awakened when the burglar entered the bedroom of a woman in the house, who started to scream for help. When he came to her aid, he was stabbed once in the chest in the ensuing confrontation.
The attacker has been described as between 23 and 25, 5ft 9ins, with dark hair and a blond fringe. He was wearing a blue jacket and blue jeans.
