A suspected senior figure in the "Real IRA" is still being questioned by gardaí in Limerick following his arrest last night.
He is one of two men held after a raid on a house in the Garryowen district of the city last night.
A Kalashnikov AK-47 assault rifle, together with ammunition, and grenades were found at the building, gardaí said.
The two men, one in his fifties and the other in his thirties, are being detained at Henry Street Garda Station under the Offences Against the State Act. They can be held for up to 72 hours before being either charged or released.
