Gardaí in Blanchardstown are seeking assistance from the public following the discovery of a body in a Dublin housing estate.
According to gardaí, they received a call on June 25th to an address at Pheasants Run, Dublin 15, near Clonee, where the body of a man (31) had been discovered by other residents of the house.
The body of the 31-year-old Lithuanian was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown where a postmortem he suffered head injuries.
The victim had been living at the Pheasants Run property with up to three other people - all Lithuanian.
Local Fianna Fáil councillor David McGuinness said the death was a blow for the area. “The area of Dublin 15 has quietened down a lot in recent years, and these sort of developments are certainly not welcome,” he said.
The scene has been preserved for Technical Forensic Examination. An incident room has been set up at Blanchardstown Garda Station and enquiries are ongoing.
