Gardaí are investigating a number of suspicious fires which broke out in Leinster overnight.
In Bray, Co Wicklow a fire caused damage to the front door of a house in Cedar Court, Ballybrack, early today but the six people inside the house escaped without injury.
A garda spokesman said it was believed there was a "suspicious angle" to the incident. It has been reported that petrol was poured through the front door of the house and then set alight.
Gardaí are also treating as suspicious a fire which broke out at the Motorworld premises at Robinhood Industrial Estate in Clondalkin, Dublin, at about 1.30 a.m. Fifteen cars were damaged in the blaze.
The spokesman said there was damage to the roof of the building which probably indicated where a break-in occurred.
