Gardaí at Pearse Street have successfully located the family of a baby who was found abandoned at Tara Street DART station this afternoon.
In a statement a garda spokesman said: "We would like to thank everyone for their assistance in this matter. The investigation is continuing and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions with regard to the abandonment."
The chile remains in the care of the Health Board.
The baby girl, aged between 18 to 24 months, was found abandoned in a buggy at the station shortly before 4pm.
