The 16-year-old girl who died when the car she was a passenger in collided with a taxi at Ballyminnion, Co Longford has been named as Sarah Murtagh of Grian Ard, Co Longford.

The 82-year-old man who was killed when his car struck a horse at Muinebheag, Co Carlow has been named as Thomas Howell from Ballincoush, Dungarvan, Co Waterford.

And the 21-year-old man who was killed when the car he was driving went out of control and hit a pole at Cloneymeath, Co Meath has been named as David Healy from Straffan, Co Kildare.
