Gardaí have released the names of three people killed on the State's roads over the Easter bank holiday weekend.

Eoin Glynn (20), from Kilrush, Co Clare, and Shane Donnellan (17), from Knock, Co Clare, were killed in a single-vehicle crash at Goldburn Bridge on the Ennis-Kilrush road at approximately 4.55am on Sunday.

On Friday, Terry Smith (40) of Abbeyfeale, Co Limerick, was killed when his motorbike collided with a car on the N21 Rathkeale bypass at Reens, near Ardagh.

There have been 102 deaths on the roads this year, 23 fewer than the same time period last year.
