Gardaí are continuing to question three men arrested yesterday as part of an ongoing operation into the activities of dissident republicans.
Officers also seized a number of firearms in the operation in Whitehall, Dublin.
The men - all from Northern Ireland - were arrested when officers stopped a car at around 12.30 p.m. Gardaí said they were all in their late 30s to early 40s.
They are being questioned under section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act at Whitehall and Santry Garda stations, and can be held for up to 72 hours.

The arrests were part of an operation between the Garda and the Police Service of Northern Ireland.
