Gardaí in Galway are seeking the public’s help in identifying the body of a man recovered from the river Corrib last Saturday morning.
The man is described as 6ft 2in in height, of medium build with a weathered complexion, consistent with spending a significant amount of time outdoors. He had grey receding hair with a red/brown tinge and grey stubble with a hint of red.
When recovered from the water the man was wearing a black T-shirt with a multicoloured picture of an eagle on the back and black combat trousers, both from Penneys, a white Nike hoody and black Oakley size 12 runners with white soles. He was also wearing a brown rosary beads around his neck, with “Medjugorje” written on the cross.
The death is being treated by gardaí as a tragic incident.
