Gardaí in Waterford are seeking help from the public in finding a man suspected of carrying out four separate attacks on women in the city.

Three of the attacks happened in daylight; the fourth and most recent happened early on Sunday morning.

The first two happened near each other, close to Reginald's Tower in the city. The third daylight assault was at Dyehouse Lane, at the other end of the city's quays on Friday afternoon last when a man approached a woman from behind. He knocked her to the ground and verbally abused and assaulted her.

The man is described as being about five feet, nine inches in height and of medium build. He wore jeans and a dark coloured top during the latest incident.
