Dungarvan Gardai told ireland.comthey were set to move on the case surrounding the suspicious death of Ms Lorraine Crowley (36), found dead in her Waterford home yesterday.
Superintendent Michael Blake said he expected developments in the case this weekend.  
Results of a post-mortem carried out last night have been received, though Supt Blake did not disclose the findings.  The case is still considered a suspicious death and murder has not been ruled out.   
Ms Crowley's body was discovered at her home near the town centre at about 8 a.m. She was found dead in her bed by a family member. There was no one else in the house at the time.
The dead woman has a 13-year-old son who was staying with relatives on Wednesday night.
According to local sources, she was from the town, and many extended family members also live in Dungarvan.
