The Garda has warned motorists of traffic restrictions in Dublin tomorrow due to a special Bloomsday breakfast on O'Connell Street.

The capital's main street will be closed to traffic from 4 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

Traffic travelling south from Parnell Square east to O'Connell Street will divert left to Parnell Street, to Marlborough St, to Eden Quay, to Custom House Quay, to Memorial Bridge.

Traffic travelling from the North Quay to Dublin Port will not be allowed to turn left on to O'Connell Street.

And traffic travelling between Christchurch and O'Connell Bridge may be diverted temporarily between 4 a.m. and 12.30 p.m.

Next Wednesday marks the centenary of Bloomsday, the June 16th 1904 date immortalised in James Joyce's Ulysses. The open air breakfast tomorrow is one of a series of celebrations planned around the event.
