Gardaí said this afternoon they would not be releasing the results of a post mortem on the body of a man found in the Glen of the Downes, Co Wicklow on Tuesday night.
A spokeswoman said the results would not be made available "for operational reasons." She said the man had not yet been identified.
The body was discovered at about 9 p.m. on Tuesday by a man walking his dog. It was lying face down in a stream running through a woods. Gardaí said it appeared the body had been there for some time, possibly some weeks, and are treating the death as suspicious.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses or anybody with any information to come forward. They particularly asked anybody who might have used the path near the stream in the woods over the past two or three weeks to contact them.
