John Gardiner returns to the Cork defence for this weekend's National Hurling League clash with Munster rivals Waterford.
Cork manager Gerald McCarthy has made three changes from the side that opened the Rebel's campaign with a win over Offaly with Killian Cronin coming in at full back and Kevin Canty named at left wing forward.
Elsewhere, Tipperary coach Babs Keating has made a raft of changes for his side's meeting with defending champions Kilkenny.
Having been overturned by Limerick in the opening round, Keating has freshened things up in defence with Benny Dunne, Paul Curran, Conor O'Mahony and Declan Fanning all called into the starting line-up.
Francis Devanney will play alongside Shane McGrath in midfield while John Carroll is added to the forward line as Tipp seek their first win over Brian Cody's side since 2003.
