Legal moves to stop a Junior Orange parade along the Garvaghy Road road in Portadown on Saturday started in the High Court in Belfast yesterday. Mr Kevin Farrell, who was injured during clashes at the same parade a year ago, has applied for a judicial review of the decision to allow the parade to go ahead. His solicitor, Ms Padraigin Drinan, said the application concerned the failure of the Parades Commission to make a determination.
"The Commission simply issued a statement saying the parade was to take place and did not take any evidence from the residents," she said.
