Graham Geraghty's involvement in the second International Rules test is in doubt after he was cited for an incident during the first match on Saturday night.

Geraghty, who contributed an over and a wide to Ireland's tally in the 48-40 win over Australia, was involved in a third quarter incident with Linsey Gilbee. After studying match footage, the International Rules Control Committee have opted to cite the Meath man for engaging in rough play and his case will be heard within 48 hours.

"Control committee representative Kevin Sheehan (AFL), issued a notice of report arising from last Saturday's first Test between Ireland and Australia, played at Pearse Stadium in Galway on Saturday October 28th," a statement read.

"Graham Geraghty, Ireland, is reported for engaging in rough play against Lindsay Gilbee, Australia, during the third quarter.

Australia will be bidding for their first win on Irish soil since the series was revived when the second test moves to GAA headquarters on Sunday afternoon.

Meanwhile, Brendan Fevola, the AFL player sent home following an incident in a Galway hotel in the early hours of Monday morning, has put forward his side of the story on his arrival back in Australia.

While accepting he was in the wrong for his actions, the Carlton player was keen to play down reports he had struck a bar worker in the Imperial Hotel.

"There's no excuses, I probably shouldn't have done it. Not I probably shouldn't have, I shouldn't have done it," he told Channel Nine.

"I didn't hit him at all, it was just a headlock," he added. "He said, 'you Australian such-and-suchs, that's no more drinks for you, you're finished'.

"So I followed him outside and grabbed him in a headlock and just said to him, 'I've had enough of all this shit that you've been giving us', pretty much."
