Soccer:Werder Bremen have confirmed midfielder Mesut Ozil is heading for Real Madrid for an undisclosed fee believed to be around €15million.
Bremen turned down an offer from the Spanish giants on Friday but have now reached an agreement which satisfies their demands for a player who would have been available on a free transfer when his contract expired in 12 months.
The player, who was one of the stars of the World Cup in South Africa, will undergo a medical in the Spanish capital today.
The 21-year-old did not take part in the Bundesliga club's final training session ahead of tomorrow's Champions League clash with Sampdoria this afternoon.
