Equestrian: Germany won its seventh straight team gold medal in dressage, its 12th in all, at Sha Tin racecourse in Hong Kong today with great rival The Netherlands taking silver and Denmark the bronze.
The top 25 riders on the leaderboard will take part in the Grand Prix special on Saturday to decide the individual medals and these include all three members of the medal winning teams.
Germany's Isabell Werth, individual gold winner in Atlanta, scored best with the judges today (76.417 per cent) for her work with the Hannovarian gelding Satchmo while world number one, Anky van Grunsven, representing The Netherlands and biding for a record three straight victories, was awarded a mark of 74.750 per cent with IPS Salinero.
