Shamrock Rovers defender Richie Byrne was today drafted into the Republic of Ireland under-21 squad for the friendly international with Scotland on Tuesday.
Manager Don Givens was forced into a late reshuffle after Manchester City's Stephen Paisley and Liam Miller of Celtic withdrew.
John Lester of Bohemians has also received a late call up. There are now three eircom League players in the squad as Wesley Hoolahan of Shelbourne was named in the original 18.
The game at Rugby Park, Kilmarnock, kicks off at 8 p.m.
