Ireland's in-form flanker Keith Gleeson looks likely to be sidelined for at least eight weeks after breaking his arm in the Six Nations win over Italy at the weekend.
Gleeson will definitely miss Ireland's final game of the championship against Scotland and is also doubtful for Ireland's tour to South Africa in June.
Coach Eddie O'Sullivan has the option of bringing in Victor Costello or David Wallace for the match against Scotland at Lansdowne Road. Should Ireland win that match they will win their first Triple Crown in 19 years.
